Supposedly this guy drove 26 hours straight for a 20 hour drive. I doubt there was an extra 6 hours of traffic. I also doubt he drove the speed limit in a Bentley.
You ask, who are these people and why do they matter? They are “famous” people famous for either directly or related to someone who had relations with a different “famous” person. I dunno, that’s news these days.
Why do they matter? They don’t.
Why should you care about this post? You shouldn't. I just don't have anyone to talk to right now and since this story is everywhere I thought I'd put in my two cents.

Between Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin and stopping for fuel, food, and restrooms, six extra hours seems reasonable.

you have to account for traffic and fuel stops.
I did kingston-toronto-thunder bay in 22 hours and 6 minutes. with 3 hours MAX of breaks in there. and for a good 3 or 4 hours i was WELL above the 90km/k speed limit. ( i mean like 160+)
google maps claims 17 hours and 9 minutes. that absolute best conditions. take into account traffic and fuell stops and what not and suddenly it becomes much harder to do that time.

Not to mention rest stops, I once drove straight to Florida from Illinois. That was just 17 hours straight and I felt like death. No way a celeb is doing 26 hours.

I have made that drive, though to San Diego and not LA. In fact, we took that south route on the way west, and the alternate route on the way home. I think Google’s estimates can be pretty optimistic. They suppose never stopping for fuel or food and keeping to the posted speed limit the entire way. Twenty-six hours seems very reasonable to me.

26 hours struck me as odd, but what REALLY got me is why he didn’t hop on a plane from LA to Austin, bail his girl out, and then rent a car to drive back in.

I’ve been stuck in a bathroom because of roadside food for hours at a time myself. This seems eminently plausible.

I have driven this route, 26hrs seems pretty reasonable.
Oh and a heads up, if your thinking about doing this trip, the northern route is worth the extra time.

But were you in a rush to get someone out of jail? Or were you just drivin?

Why didn't he have Kris set up a private plane to fly her? Or even a helicopter. This guy must not have much going on.

I meant to add that part to my post.
“Bae, come bail me out. I’m in jail in Austin”
“Sure thing bae. I’ll be there immediately. Tomorrow. Some time. Oh, and right after you’re out we’ll have to sit in a car together for over a day”
Seriously. Gas probably cost more than a couple plane tickets. Could've flown home. I doubt she was put on a no fly list immediately.

I assume everything with this family is to get publicity. This girl is the baby mama of one of her daughter’s on/off boyfriend. It wouldn’t fit the storyline to help her because the family is mad at them or something.
Days of Our Lives has less drama and more reality than this family

Or he could’ve flown and not made her sit in jail for a day.
This has to be for a storyline. It’s a bigger gesture to drive than fly. Also, you can add “over a whole day straight of driving” for drama.
If it were me, I'd rather just be out of jail asap

Driving 20 hours straight is so so stupid. Accidents increase dramatically after hour 12.
